After a quick trip down the hall and a weekend of being entirely too damn social, Isabel is ready for a quiet night in with a good book.

The radio's playing, Annie's curled up on her feet and the door is open.

After a late night in the common room, Isabel had slept in. After finally waking and getting dressed, she'd been on her way out the door when the phone rang. Forty-five minutes later she was still on the phone having a spirited discussion about men and the not-so-smart-things they can sometimes do with Maria.

The lack of a tree in her room had been bothering her, so Isabel spent Christmas Eve handwavily setting up a small tree on Xander's old desk. There's a stack of presents still to be distributed.

The door's open, the carols are playing and Isabel is wearing her penguin pajamas waiting for people to stop by.

Isabel sat on her bed writing an email to her parents explaining why she wasn't going home for the holidays. Doing it by email felt like cheating, but at least her mom wouldn't be able to make her feel guilty like she would have if they talked on the phone ( Read more... )

Aching and tired, Isabel let herself into her room and headed straight for the shower. She was achy, tired and worried about her friends and their injuries but she realized it could have been much worse. After all, they were dealing with trolls!

Even with the campfire, it had eventually gotten too cold to stay outside.
